With the rise in xenophobia following the COVID-19 pandemic, public artist in residence at the Human Rights Commission Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya addresses verbal and physical abuse against Asian Americas in an ad takeover on the Atlantic Avenue subway station in Brooklyn. Additionally, Phingbodhipakkiya uses public art installations in New York featuring portraits of Black, East Asian, and Southeast Asian residents of the city accompanied by anti-discriminatory messages like "I do not make you sick" and "This is our home too."
