David Pilgrim, a sociologist from Ohio, started the Jim Crow museum to display his collection of "anti-black" materials, items that range from 'white's only' signs to books, toys, and postcards. In doing so, Pilgrim hopes to create awareness and conversation in our society, and to help attendees better understand and acknowledge the racist history of America. These items display the legacy of the Jim Crow era - a legacy that is still echos into our present.
