In 2014, street artist Damon Davis began his All Hands on Deck project, which features photographs of the hands of people who have contributed to the movement towards racial justice. The project began in Ferguson, Missouri after the murder of Michael Brown by Ferguson police instigated major protests throughout the city and across the country. The project highlights the collective nature of social movements and, at the time of installation, offered those business that lent storefronts to the project the opportunity to express their solidarity with local protestors.
