Music on Call (MOC) is a non-profit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. Their program "Project Playback" gives patients the chance to write and record their own original music with a volunteer. The songs are recorded in the hospital, transferred to CD, then celebrated with a CD release party for the patients, family, and caregivers. They have also expanded their reach virtually, featuring special events where volunteers and artists partner up to create new songs during COVID-19. MOC credits their impact to help patients improve blood pressure, manage stress, alleviate pain, improve pain tolerance, and brighten overall outlook and mood.
